InfraBank Bill introduced in the Senate

Senators Bennett and Blunt introduced this week a bill along the lines of Congressman Delaney’s House Bill (HR 2084) to create an Infrastructure financing mechanism that would not depend upon appropriations.  The Senate bill currently has 6 Republican and 5 Democrat sponsors, a demonstration of bipartisan support similar to the 50 co-sponsors currently for Delaney’s House version of the bill.  In a year when tax reform could be a subject of action by Congress, the timing for these parallel initiatives is good.
